Spring is here and its time to create. “Croatoa” is nearly finished with the coming of a few warm days and bike trips there will be enough songs to release it into the air. There are a lot of exciting things coming about. August 3rd the Lucky Run Hobos are throwing a Backwoods Music Bash. Bring a tent and your swimming trunks and get ready for a good old fashion Butler get together with music, booze and bonfires. A flyer is in the works and we are working on lining up some Pittsburgh bands to play and invite everyone to get on stage and sing to the stars! I am also working on pushing ahead Junktape Radio a local online radio show that features the best of Pittsburgh’s local music. I will be seeking out more music and doing interviews with some of the Burghers who work hard to keep the scene alive and vibrant. Jump on over to junktapestudios.com for more information about these great summer activities and I hope to be singing with all your ghosts soon.
I have not posted anything lately as the winter has been absorbing a good amount of my energy. Though fear not The Wayward Strangers and I have been meeting up every Wednesday, drinking whiskey and pickin away. We are working on plans of bike trips, backwoods music festivals and good old sitting around the fire singing songs to the stars. The new album “Croatoa” is still in the works and track by track the album will be finished soon. I am also looking forward to collaboration with artists and bands all around the Burgh. Thank you to all of you who have been present during these very cold last few months. I know we are all just waiting for the sun. Be well!
